America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain.
--- And for the Dreams and Hopes of America's Citizens.
-- -For their Lives, Liberties, and their Pursuit of Happiness.
Help me figure someting out here, will ya?
What happened to that vision, those ideals and the simple desires of the beauty of the concept of the freedoms that American Citizens based their futures, the futures of their children and the future of their Country on?
What happened to the belief in the vision of Our Founding Fathers, when now, 234 years later, Americans are questioning the past, the present and the future?
How can I express the depths of the the emotions for what I see happening to Our Country?
Oh, God, if I could have one wish, it would be for the gift of eloquence; for the WORDS to speak of the injustices that have been brought upon the American People by the ones they've entrusted their Lives, their Liberties and their Pursuits of Happiness to.
We - all of us: You, Me, I and all the ones we love and cherish, have been betrayed by the self-centered-ness, arrogance, egos and self- interest of the few.
Winston Churchill said, on 20 August 1940, that, "Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few".
To paraphrase his comment - "Never in the field of human conflict has so many have been screwed by so few".
Yes, look at the tale of humankind on Earth, and you will see that there are always a few persons, or one person, who can bend the will of the People and the course of history to unconscionable and unforgivable directions. Those groups of people or persons, by their force of will or force of power or force of mind-bending, have been able to use and direct the ingenuity and enthusiasm of their fellow man to cause Poverty, Hardship, Death and Destruction to their fellow man, repeatedly, throughout the history of man on Earth.
"Put not your faith in princes" - so it says in Psalms 146:3.
The true and untold history of politics in America is the collaboration of the politicians with organized crime and corporate power.
Benito Mussolini said, "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."
He also said, "Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy."
Why is it a fallacy? Because the principle of a Goverment of the People, By the People, and for the People has been subverted by those who secretly wield the power. From the smoke-filled back rooms, to the halls of the courthouses, to the mayor's office, to the seats in Congress and all the way up to the Oval Office, the game has been rigged to benefit the few, at the expense of the many.
The 'Many' being the good-hearted and honest American Citizens, and the 'Few" being the Corporate Masters and their Political Lackeys.
In March of 1983 Dickie was named, by the first Oil Loving George H.W. Bush, to be the Secretary of Defense. In this position he engineered the first Gulf War.

In 2000, when when Georgie Jr. was running for president he was in the market for a Vice-President. Georgie Jr. picked Dickie to head the search for this individual and then, lo and behold, Dickie put his own name on the top of the list! Of course, Dickie was currently serving as the CEO of Halliburton - and was loath to depart from this coveted position - so Dickie, Halliburton and Georgie Jr. reached a deal where good ole Dickie would receive a retirement package estimated at $20 million bucks plus a deferred salary while in federal office. Not a bad deal, huh?

Once Georgie Jr. and Dickie were in office in 2001, just days later, good ole Dickie was named as the head of the newly formed National Energy Policy Development Group on January 29, 2001. The stated purpose of the Group was, in Dick Cheney's own words:"we have developed a national energy policy designed to help bring together business, government, local communities and citizens to promote dependable, affordable and environmentally sound energy for the future."
On that day the price of oil was about $20 a barrel. From that day forward, till now, 22 Feb 2010, oil has skyrocketed and see-sawed to points reaching over $140 a barrel and according to the industry experts $200 a barrel oil is right around the corner this summer.
Really, the moral of the story is: "PUT NOT YOUR FAITH IN PRINCES" (Psalms 146;3).
As long as the American People rely on the few, instead of themselves, the song will remain the same.
For months and years now the USA-EnergyIndependence.org movement has been talking about how to use Commercial Algae and Industrial Hemp for Home-Grown Fuel. Look at this as a way to use Algae (the stuff in your fish tank):

and look at this for using Industrial Hemp (or lawn clippings) to power your car:

The only reason you, me and we are stuck using fossil fuels is because of the greed and self-interest of the "Princes".
