The Rise and Fall of the American Dream

The Rise and Fall of the American Dream
Wednesday, 6 May 09 in Victorville California a bank demo’ed 30 brand new homes. There are millions of
homeless Americans living in tent cities who could have moved into those homes. But, one of the “Stress Test” criteria the politicians are using to determine whether a bank will get more taxpayer funded bailout dollars is a measure of how many mortgage revenue dollars a bank has lost. So, it is to the banks advantage to kick people out. Wouldn’t it be better for all concerned if the people stayed in their homes and paid the banks as much as they could, until their financial situation improved? Yes, it would be to everyones advantage, except the bank. So, what’s the answer? Fire the bankers and their campaign-donation-loving friends - the Politicians. Does that sound extreme? Hey, all those people being foreclosed on and existing in tent cities are living some extreme lives right now; all because of the politicians arrogance and stupidity, and the bankers greed.
